Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do before my tattoo appointment?
Hydrate! Drink lots of water and moisturize the area that you’re getting tattooed for 1-2 weeks beforehand. Always be sure to eat a full meal before getting tattooed.
Should I bring anything with me to my tattoo appointment?
Your ID, payment method, and for longer sessions, snacks and drinks, a book, phone, etc. to keep you distracted. Dress comfortably!
How do I take care of my new tattoo?
We will give you detailed instructions on aftercare at the time of your appointment as well as send you home with an aftercare sheet. If you have any further questions, please send us an email or message.
How do I get a quote for a tattoo?
Send us an Email or Facebook message, or set up an in person consultation. Be sure to include any photo references you may have and details such as description, size, placement, color or black and grey, etc.
Do you send designs to clients before their appointments?
We do not. It is not uncommon for people to take the design and get it tattooed elsewhere if they can get in faster or get it cheaper. If you’d like to see your design a few days before your appointment, please set up an in person consultation to view it in person.
How do I set up an in person consultation or leave a cash deposit?
To avoid waiting for an available artist to be able to consult with you, go to Book Appointment, scroll down to In Person Consultation, select when you’d like to come in and speak with us, and fill out the form.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit/debit card, and PayPal.
What is your minimum?
$60
What is the minimum age requirement to get tattooed?
The legal age to get a tattoo in West Virginia is 16 with parental consent. We must obtain a copy of the minor’s birth certificate as well as the parent/guardian’s ID and signature.
Can I bring my child to my tattoo appointment?
We advise against it as tattoo shops are not a suitable environment for children due to the risk of exposure to bloodborne diseases, chemicals and sharps, however they may come if an adult that is NOT currently getting tattooed accompanies them in the waiting area. Absolutely no one under the age of 16 is allowed in the tattoo area for legal and safety reasons.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
You can reschedule your appointment directly on our website. Go to Book Appointment, scroll down to Reschedule Appointment, select your new date/time and fill out the form. Keep in mind that we only allow 2 reschedules per deposit.
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
Deposits hold your appointment date and time. They are set in place to protect the artist as no-shows, cancelations, and last minute reschedules cause us to be out of work, in addition to time spent drawing designs that never end up getting tattooed. They are essentially a layer of security for our jobs/livelihood.
How often do you reply to inquiries?
It can often take up to a week to reply to all messages/emails. We ask that if it has been longer than that since you’ve tried to contact us, to please send us another message.
How can I buy a physical gift certificate?
Stop by and see us in person! Please contact us ahead of time to let us know that you’d like to purchase one.
